Summary:

The pumping height of a truck-mounted concrete pump is not a fixed value; different models vary significantly in their capabilities. Standard units typically achieve around 250 meters, but with specialized configurations, they can deliver concrete to heights exceeding 400 meters—or even greater. The actual achievable height depends on multiple factors, including the equipment’s discharge pressure, the concrete’s properties, and the pipeline layout.
Overview of Pumping Heights for Mainstream Equipment
The typical pumping heights for vehicle-mounted pumps of different brands and models are as follows:
| Brand / Model | Outlet Pressure | Typical Pumping Height | Notes |
| Conventional Truck-Mounted Pump | 14–20 MPa | 250 m | Industry-Standard Capability |
| SANY 9012 | 14 MPa | 360 m | Theoretical maximum pumping height |
| SANY 9018 | - | 180 meters | Common model |
| SANY 100 | 11 MPa | 150 m | Rated pumping height |
| SANY Hongyun Model 10023 | 23 MPa | 250 meters | Pumping height exceeds industry standards by 50–80 meters |
| SANY Hongyun Model 9025/11025 | 25 MPa | 300 meters | Dual-power configuration |
| Zoomlion 23 MPa | 23 MPa | C60 concrete >280 meters | Among industry peers, it offers a relatively high pumping height for this pressure level |
| Zoomlion 26.5 MPa “Kunpeng” | 26.5 MPa | C60 concrete >300 meters | A truck-mounted pump with the highest single‑motor pumping pressure in the industry |
| XCMG Ultra-High-Pressure Truck-Mounted Pump | - | 800 meters | Theoretical Maximum Pumping Height |
| Ultra-High-Pressure Truck-Mounted Pump | 26 MPa | 400 meters | Vertical Pumping Height |
Key factors determining pumping height
The pumping height of a truck-mounted pump is primarily determined by the following factors:
Outlet pressure: This is the most critical factor. Generally, the higher the pressure, the greater the pumping capacity. For example, equipment with an outlet pressure of 23 MPa can theoretically pump C60 concrete to a height exceeding 280 meters, while equipment rated at 26.5 MPa can deliver C60 concrete to heights of over 300 meters. Furthermore, SANY has used an ultra‑high‑pressure truck‑mounted pump to achieve a high‑rise pumping reach of 416 meters.
Concrete performance: Pumping high-strength, high-viscosity concrete such as C60 is considerably more challenging than handling ordinary concrete. Consequently, many manufacturers use the maximum pumping height achievable with C60 concrete as a key benchmark for evaluating equipment performance.
Pipeline layout: The longer the pumping distance and the more bends there are, the greater the frictional pressure loss along the pipeline, and the lower the achievable vertical lift. For example, the SANY 9012 can achieve a vertical lift of 360 meters while delivering concrete over a maximum horizontal distance of 1,500 meters.
Summary
In general, a standard truck‑mounted pump with a pressure rating of 14–20 MPa can meet pumping requirements for heights of around 250 meters. For taller structures, high‑pressure or ultra‑high‑pressure models with outlet pressures exceeding 23 MPa are required. Notably, truck‑mounted pumps have also been successfully deployed in super‑tall buildings over 400 meters, serving as one of the alternatives to conventional ultra‑high‑pressure trailer‑mounted pumps.
