For years, our team has undertaken a wide range of tunneling, drift drilling-and-blasting, and support construction projects, often working in complex geological conditions and on large-cross-section tunnels. At first, I remained somewhat skeptical—after all, no matter how impressive the specifications on paper may be, nothing beats seeing it with my own eyes and operating it firsthand. What impresses me most about this hyperbolic-boom rock-drilling rig is its innovative dual-boom hydraulic bionic-joint design. The boom can rotate 360°, pitch, and extend—significantly expanding the working envelope while greatly reducing the need for equipment repositioning. In complex underground spaces, its maneuverability and adaptability far surpass those of older models. Moreover, the rig’s dual-boom collaborative control system allows for both synchronous drilling and alternating operations, dramatically shortening the cycle time per pass and delivering a visibly higher productivity.
What gives me even greater peace of mind is the machine’s safety and intelligent features. This double-arm rock-drilling rig is equipped with an intelligent remote-control system, enabling operators to perform tasks remotely in high-risk areas such as collapsed tunnels and zones with high gas concentrations, thereby significantly reducing on-site construction risks. The equipment integrates environmental sensing, gas monitoring, and automated drilling programs to dynamically adjust support and drilling parameters, resulting in substantial improvements in construction safety and overall efficiency, as well as a dramatic reduction in the rate of operational errors.
